With a possible split (hopefully not!) within the Society of Saint Pius X, AngelQueen.org published a letter from Archbishop Lefebvre against extremism and rebellion.
I found this story interesting for several reasons.
Back in 1982, my family attended Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, in Chesapeake, VA. It was a chapel owned by the Society of Saint Pius X. Click HERE for the history on the chapel, and where they are today.
I have some memories of then-Father Richard Williamson, now Bishop Williamson. I remember one of his sermons in particular, against television, something that I have taken to heart in raising my own family.
The linked story also mentions Father Roger Petit, who was my father’s favorite priest there. It was interesting to see his name again after all these years.
The story itself is about Archbishop Lefebvre’s words against the rebellion of priests against the Society of Saint Pius X, those who formed the Society of Saint Pius V (note: the SSPV does not accept that the last several popes where actually popes. i.e., they are sedevacantists).
