This is my second and last post on this, as I don’t want to dwell on it.
In this episode of The Remnant Video, Michael Matt and Christopher Ferrara talk about the Holy Father’s comments on large families being “like rabbits” from that papal interview on the airplane from Manilla to Rome. I won’t rehash the whole kerfuffle, but you can read my thoughts HERE.
The reason I bring it up again this time is that Mr. Matt and Mr. Ferrara had a different take on it. While I said that the Pope Francis had praised large families on a couple of occasions, and that I think he supports them, they point out that when he speaks in the context of the papacy, such as during a weekly general audience, he says things that sound right, that are correct. But that these interviews and press conferences are what Jorge Bergoglio, speaking personally as a man, really thinks. It is a different way of looking at it.
Anyways, I do not know the Holy Father’s mind. I will continue to pray for Pope Francis, that the Holy Ghost guides and supports him.
